Sometimes It’s the Little Things
Of all the building that I’ve done in FO4 this short hexagonal walkway at Starlight is still one of my favorites.

Sanctuary, where it all began. Most of the building there was done back when wood and concrete were all you had so the original buildings look a bit raged.

Lots of wooden walkways with abundant greenery can be used to move around from building to building and level to level.

A little refreshment as high as you can build here, with a few missile turrets in case things get rowdy on a Friday night.

Once new building materials became available most of the buildings that come with the game were hidden inside warehouses and barns.
Apparently I never grabbed any screenshots of Sunshine Tidings as it existed prior to today, so unless I decide to reload an old game save you’ll never now how bad it looked. It now features a couple sets of
Two major milestones this past week. The first was expected – Lvl 300.
I made some revisions to the reversed roof glass structure at Egret Tours. Too bad the build height ceiling is so low there. There wasn’t room to add a dome to the top.
Add more temp wall sections and roof sections and end up with something like this
Complete the reverse sections, add a normal top and a lot of lights, wait around for night and you have something like this
My original build at Finch Farm was a failed experiment using the metal building materials. The 5 concrete towers I added on the bridge were ok, but the rest was in serious need of demolition.
With my first 3 Power Armor Workshops overflowing it was time to build #4 and Finch Farm was the ideal location. I extended the platform at bridge level out far enough to add a multi-level 160 bay workshop. Once that was done I began replacing everything at ground level with farm and warehouse buildings. It took a bit of manipulating to build the new stuff while not leaving the settlers homeless or shopless or without any entertainment, but it turned out fairly nice.

Area atop bridge just below the workshop building. Too bad I don’t have any sand and smooth pebbles.

Lots of work to do in the ground level store area, but at least the settlers can grab some supplies and food as needed.
We interrupt your irregularly scheduled Fallout 4 update to bring you a few pics from real life.

I have no intention of ever using EgretTours for a real settlement, so I decided to build a power armor display building there above the marina. Floors, walls and roof are mostly glass. I plan on using it exclusively for T51 PA. Start hoarding oil now if you plan on using a lot of the power armor display racks. I do have about 250 of them between Egret and Starlight though, so your investment in oil might not be quite as costly as mine.
